(Status)


In the past few years, I enjoyed a series of hugely interesting OiLs (Open Innovation Labs) on micro and macro-level in several places around Europe (and even a bit beyond). Thank you all, for your openness of minds and your willingness to share your ideas, insights, knowledge, experiences, failures, fascinations and passions: It’s always a tremendous pleasure to have you on our show! Tnx!


BTW — The vlogs and blogs about these gatherings are currently elsewhere in the web...  No worries — We’ll rearrange them in the upcoming Mediaci website.



End 2009, beginning 2010, we suddenly got the chance to “take the bridges” and carry MEDIACI to the very next level: A new series of OiLs, integrated in a doctoral program (global). Emerged with projects in art schools and business schools as well as with an highly involved business community. But as well: Some dry publications, a sexy book, new events… etc. All yet to come, thanks to the welcome support of some partner networks, institutes, universities and a highly engaged Inner Circle of “veterans in the industry”.


Our mutual aim: To facilitate a Pan-European platform for open business development in the creative industries and more specific in the transmedia field.  



MEDIACI:

  1. A Foresight Platform, focussing on the future of media business, by application of the open innovation and open business modeling paradigm (Chesbrough). 

  2. An Education Platform, providing Business Competence modules to existing European master programs in Media Management. Fulfilling the considerable shortage of business content in these programs.

  3. A Business Development Laboratory, supporting the future for innovative digital media start-ups in order to reach high growth and internationalisation.
